Greek toast with tzatziki, halloumi and cucumber

Ingredients (for 3 people)

For the tzatziki

  • 200 gram Greek yogurt
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 4 sprigs fresh dill
  • 0.5 cucumber
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp Natural Spices Sirtaki mix

  • 225 gram halloumi (1 package)
  • 0.5 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.5 cucumber
  • 6 slices of bread of your choice
  • 2 tsp Natural Spices sirtaki mix

Preparation

  1. Make the tzatziki. Put the Greek yogurt in a bowl. Press the garlic clove over it. Chop the dill finely and add it to the bowl. Cut the cucumber lengthwise into quarters, remove the seeds and grate the flesh on a coarse grater. Squeeze out the liquid and stir it into the yogurt together with the lemon juice, olive oil and the Sirtaki mix. Put this in the fridge for a while.
  2. Cut the halloumi into slices. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the halloumi slices over medium heat until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Meanwhile slice the other half of the cucumber.
  4. Toast the bread in a toaster.
  5. Spread the bread with the tzatziki, top with the cucumber slices and arrange the halloumi on top. Generously sprinkle with the remaining Sirtaki mix.
