Greek toast with tzatziki, halloumi and cucumber
Ingredients (for 3 people)
For the tzatziki
- 200 gram Greek yogurt
- 1 clove of garlic
- 4 sprigs fresh dill
- 0.5 cucumber
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp Natural Spices Sirtaki mix
- 225 gram halloumi (1 package)
- 0.5 tablespoon olive oil
- 0.5 cucumber
- 6 slices of bread of your choice
- 2 tsp Natural Spices sirtaki mix
Preparation
- Make the tzatziki. Put the Greek yogurt in a bowl. Press the garlic clove over it. Chop the dill finely and add it to the bowl. Cut the cucumber lengthwise into quarters, remove the seeds and grate the flesh on a coarse grater. Squeeze out the liquid and stir it into the yogurt together with the lemon juice, olive oil and the Sirtaki mix. Put this in the fridge for a while.
- Cut the halloumi into slices. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the halloumi slices over medium heat until golden brown and crispy.
- Meanwhile slice the other half of the cucumber.
- Toast the bread in a toaster.
- Spread the bread with the tzatziki, top with the cucumber slices and arrange the halloumi on top. Generously sprinkle with the remaining Sirtaki mix.
