Warm pears with Skinny Vanilly from the oven or airfryer

Lets get started

Fancy a warm dessert that tastes luxurious but is surprisingly simple? These roasted pears with Natural Spices Skinny Vanilly become soft, warm and lightly caramelized, while the mix of vanilla, cinnamon, coconut and a hint of ginger perfectly complements the sweet pear.

Serve them with fresh yoghurt or skyr for a lighter option, or choose mascarpone or vanilla ice cream if you want something more festive. The nice thing: this recipe works with both fresh pears and canned pears.

Ingredients (for 4 people)

Base

  • 2 firm fresh pears or 1 can pear halves
  • 2 tsp Natural Spices Skinny Vanilly
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp melted butter or coconut oil
  • pinch of sea salt

For the light variant

  • 150 g Greek yoghurt or vanilla skyr
  • handful pistachios or walnuts
  • extra Skinny Vanilly to serve

Optional more luxurious variant

  • mascarpone or vanilla ice cream

Preparation in the oven

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

With fresh pears

Halve the pears and carefully remove the core with a spoon or melon baller.

With canned pears

Let the pear halves drain well and pat them dry with kitchen paper. Because canned pears are often a bit sweeter already, you can use slightly less honey if desired.

In a small bowl mix the honey, melted butter or coconut oil, Natural Spices Skinny Vanilly and a small pinch of sea salt.

Place the pears cut-side up in an oven dish and brush them generously with the mixture.

  • Fresh pears: roast 20–25 minutes
  • Canned pears: roast 12–15 minutes

The pears are ready when they are warm and lightly caramelized at the edges.

Serve warm with Greek yoghurt or skyr for a fresh, light option.

Preparation in the airfryer

Preheat the airfryer briefly to 180°C.

Prepare the pears as described above and brush them with the Skinny Vanilly mixture.

Place the pears cut-side up in the airfryer.

  • Fresh pears: bake 12–15 minutes
  • Canned pears: bake 8–10 minutes

Serve immediately with yoghurt, skyr or optionally mascarpone or vanilla ice cream.

Tips & variations

  • Extra tasty with pistachio or pecan nuts.
  • Add some lemon zest for a fresher flavor.
  • Also delicious as a warm breakfast with extra skyr and granola.
  • For a more luxurious variant you can use mascarpone or vanilla ice cream.
  • A drizzle of extra honey just before serving gives a beautiful shine.
