You know how it goes: you make a delicious meal, and then you reach for the sauce. Standard. Because sauce makes everything tastier. But with most ready-made options you suddenly add a portion of calories, sugar or fat — even though you didn't consciously choose that.
That’s exactly what we wanted to change. Natural Zero is our line of low calorie sauces: wide in flavors, low in calories and sugar, and simply tasty. No watery compromises, no artificial aftertaste. Just sauce, but more intelligently composed.
In this blog we explain everything: what Natural Zero is, how it works, who it’s suitable for, and which sauces are in the range. With links to each sauce, so you can find exactly what suits you.
What are low calorie sauces actually?
Low calorie sauces are sauces that have been deliberately made with less fat, less sugar, or both — without sacrificing taste. That sounds simpler than it is, because fat and sugar have traditionally been the 'carriers' of flavor in classic sauces.
With Natural Zero we approach it differently. By working with carefully selected ingredients and refined recipes, you retain full flavor — but with a much lighter composition. Most sauces in our line contain between 3 and 16 kcal per serving. For comparison: a standard tablespoon of classic mayonnaise quickly counts as 90–100 kcal.
Who are Natural Zero sauces for?
Natural Zero is for anyone who wants to eat more consciously but doesn't want to give up taste. That's a broad group — and rightly so. Whether you:
• are losing weight or tracking calories
• follow a low-carb or keto diet
• simply want to consume less sugar
• or simply want to eat healthier without making it a big project
...the Natural Zero sauces fit. They are also suitable for people who need to monitor their sugar intake specifically, and for those who want low-fat options.
Moreover, many sauces are vegan or vegetarian — that is also listed on each product.

Why Natural Zero is different from 'light' sauces from the supermarket
The supermarket shelves are full of 'light' versions of popular sauces. But light doesn't always mean what you think. If you look at the nutritional values, you often see:
• Still 2–5 grams of sugar per 100 grams
• Little reduction in calories compared to the original
• Compensation of fat with extra sugar — or vice versa
• Long ingredient lists with many additives
Natural Zero was developed from a different philosophy: not 'a little less bad', but truly light. Sugar-free where possible, fat-free where it makes sense — and full of flavor thanks to careful herb blends and recipes. That's what we at Natural Spices mean by a better sauce.
How to use Natural Zero sauces in the kitchen?
That's exactly the beauty: just as you are used to. No special preparation, no unusual texture. A few ideas:
• Nice to Mayo as a spread on a wrap or sandwich
• Beasty BBQ as a marinade for chicken or tofu on the grill
• Tasty Teriyaki through a stir-fry or over rice
• Cheating Chili as a dip for spring rolls or bitterballen
• Sticky Korean Kiss as a glaze over chicken wings from the airfryer
• Crazy Salty Caramel over Greek yogurt or oatmeal
Each individual sauce also has recipe inspiration on its product page. Feel free to have a look around.
